Hello UK - haven't seen you for a while
checking stats tonight - and there was UK - a rarity, but there it was. Made me smile. Gives me hope that things are ok with you.
Me? Life is good - kids are well educated, gainfully employed and the activists I hoped they would be, married to great women. Dogs are gone...memories linger, they were all good family. Now I have the cat saga, me, who said she'd never own a cat. The first came during my cancer treatments - I got conned....two Torti kittens later - then a third - an 'unadoptable' in a shelter for almost 2 years (her whole life) - her shyness made her unwanted, she looked so sad I couldn't stand it -now...she holds her own and is the sweetest cat with a yin/yang face (tuxedo brand).
The fourth and absolute LAST cat I will ever own - the kids found a half dead gray tabby by the side of the road - 8-9 weeks old, and sick. I wasn't home - I was on a catamaran in the Pacific - had enough phone service to tell them to take it to the emergency vet and if he was saveable, hold on until I got home. He survived. He's a total asshole to the girls and has claimed me as his own. I tried to give him away - and he was a total asshole to everyone who came to see him. He likes my kids (thank god because they are the ones who will have to take him over should something happen to me.) The brat is 2 the girls are 9 years old...so chances are bratface will be with me until the end of whatever.
We are getting old...aren't we. I told you once - we'd be racing wheelchairs in an old folks home...Now the have electric scooters. THAT would be fun. LOL.
Anyway..hello UK. Haven't seen you for a while. I haven't been 'home' since 2019. Next trip is post retirement - don't have many left to visit there, sadly. But still, a cottage - a fire - a book and a cuppa. I'm good. Hope you are well. Miss you.
